This is the full version of the Chinese-Alpaca-2-7B model, which can be directly loaded for inference or full-parameter training. The model expands and optimizes the Chinese vocabulary based on Llama-2, uses large-scale Chinese data for incremental pre-training, and improves the basic semantic understanding of Chinese.

Description of Chinese-LLaMA-Alpaca-2

This project is based on Llama-2, released by Meta, and it represents the second generation of the Chinese LLaMA & Alpaca LLM project. We have open-sourced Chinese LLaMA-2 (foundation model) and Alpaca-2 (instruction-following model). These models have been expanded and optimized with a Chinese vocabulary beyond the original Llama-2. We conducted incremental pre-training using large-scale Chinese data, which further enhanced the fundamental semantic understanding of the Chinese language, leading to a significant performance improvement compared to the first-generation models. The relevant models support a 4K context and can be extended up to 18K+ using the NTK method.

The main highlights of this project include:

🚀 A new extended Chinese vocabulary beyond Llama-2, with the open-sourcing of Chinese LLaMA-2 and Alpaca-2 LLMs.
🚀 Open-sourced pre-training and instruction finetuning (SFT) scripts for further tuning on user data.
