Asr Crdnn German

🚀 German ASR

This model is designed for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) in German, trained on multiple datasets to offer high - quality speech - to - text conversion.

🚀 Quick Start

Install SpeechBrain

First, install SpeechBrain using the following command:

pip install speechbrain

We encourage you to read the tutorials and learn more about SpeechBrain.

Using the model

from speechbrain.pretrained import EncoderDecoderASR

asr_model = EncoderDecoderASR.from_hparams(source="jfreiwa/asr-crdnn-german", savedir="pretrained_models/asr-crdnn-german")
asr_model.transcribe_file("jfreiwa/asr-crdnn-german/example-de.wav")

Inference on GPU

To perform inference on the GPU, add run_opts={"device":"cuda"} when calling the from_hparams method.

✨ Features

• Trained on multiple datasets including Mozilla Common Voice 6.1, the Spoken Wikipedia Corpus, and the m - ailabs corpus.
• Achieves a Word Error Rate (WER) of 7.24%.

📦 Installation

The installation mainly involves installing SpeechBrain. Use the command pip install speechbrain to get it installed.

Training Datasets

This model is trained on the following datasets:

• Spoken Wikipedia Corpus
• Mozilla Common Voice 6.1
• m - ailabs corpus

Performance

This model has a Word Error Rate (WER) of 7.24%. An updated version of this model can be found here.

Limitations

We do not provide any warranty on the performance achieved by this model when used on other datasets.
